"American" Jackass

I just finished watching Obama's speech at Invesco Field. I have to say, it is actually the funniest thing I have watched in a long time. Most asinine moments:

"We need a President who can face the threats of the future, not keep grasping at the ideas of the past…. If John McCain wants to follow George Bush with more tough talk and bad strategy, that is his choice – but it is not the change we need…. If you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from. "

I think he ought to fire his speech-writer (even if he wrote it himself) after this gaffe. I wonder if any MSM will pick up on it. Probably not. *EDIT*: Karl Rove just pointed it out on FoxNews. Go Karl. Actually Karl is tearing Obama a new one. This is great.

"We may not agree on abortion, but surely we can agree on reducing the number of unwanted pregnancies in this country."

No. No we cannot, Barack Obama; because you want to replace one atrocity with another, abortion with contraception. You want people to ignore their human natures, to choose to defy God. You want people to be able to choose whether or not dogma is true for them. You want to be able to avoid the real problem - not that there are unwanted pregnancies, but that pregnancies happen in situations where they are not wanted. That's why anti-baby Biden is your VP.

"I know there are differences on same-sex marriage, but surely we can agree that our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters deserve to visit the person they love in the hospital and to live lives free of discrimination."

Oh, let's play a game of semantics! "live lives free of discrimination." What constitutes discrimination to our "gay and lesbian brothas and sistas" (keep it real, yo, dogg)? Oh right, NOT BEING ABLE TO MARRY.

Times the word promise said? 32
Change? 14

Candidate of change, or candidate of promises? Oh, and what exactly did Obama promise? Well… he never actually said. Not once. It's the American promise, and apparently we are all making it all the time. Something vague about being a "better place around the bend." More harping on material prosperity, that supposed "quality of life?" Anyone believing this nonsense is an idiot. Simply put, an idiot.
